Fun series of number code distance learning worksheets to while away the time. Perfect for filling time with something both fun and educational. Find the letters from the letter grid and write them into the corresponding numbered locations within the grids below to find all the words and phrases. Each letter of the alphabet from A to Z has a corresponding number from 1-26. Using that number code, complete all the phrases on each sheet. The first 9 sheets have colour-coded vowels and consonants as visual aids but the remaining 17 don’t. As you progress through the sheets, the encoded phrases lengthen, making the worksheets progressively more challenging. Each sheet has a theme to it with all the encoded phrases conforming to that theme.
Using the clues provided, complete the word squares grid such that the same series of words can be written both horizontally as well as vertically. In this distance learning series, some have two 4x4 grids and some have two 5x5 grids.
Change one letter from the 4-letter or 5-letter word each time to make the next word. Keep the chain going all the way to the end. These distance learning worksheets start of easier but become progressively more challenging.
Have lots of fun solving all the 4-letter and 5-letter anagrams on each distance learning worksheet. Clues are provided to help you find each word. Once the anagram is solved, find the hidden mystery word or phrase buried in the answers.
Compound words are formed when two separate words are joined together to form a new one. Identify which two words can be joined together to form a compound word. These distance learning worksheets begin simple with visual aids to help the student get going. As the student progressed through the worksheet series, the visual aids slowly drop off, making it a bit more of a challenge. The last 5 worksheets present clues with one part of the compound word provided for the student to complete the compound word.
Learn how to use the apostrophe correctly. These distance learning worksheets both inform as well as test the students knowledge of the correct use of the apostrophe.
